Lemon Sugar Cookies


If you feel like having sweets from time to time, you can just make these delicious lemon sugar cookies and store them for those sweet cravings! They’ll do the trick. Check it out.

You’ll Need:

1 cup (2 sticks) of softened butter.
1 ½ cups of granulated sugar.
1 egg.
2 ¼ cups of all purpose flour.
½ tsp of baking powder.
½ tsp of Kosher salt.
1 tsp of vanilla.
Zest of two large lemons.
Juice of one large lemon.
¼ cup of lemon sugar recipe for rolling cookies.

How to:

With an electric mixer, cream together butter and granulated sugar until fluffy it takes about 3 minutes. Add in the egg and mix until well combined.
Add in flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, lemon zest and lemon juice. Set aside for 3 minutes.
Tablespoonful the dough and roll the cookies into balls.
In a large bowl, place the lemon sugar to roll the cookies in before baking.
In lined cookie sheets with parchment paper, place the coated cookie dough leaving 1 ½ inch to 2 inches between each cookie. Press down the cookies lightly and bake in a preheated oven to 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

Easy, simple and sweet! This lemon sugar cookies are so delicious, I store them in an airtight container for 2 weeks, of course If I don’t eat them all before that!
