Scalloped Potatoes

We all know how good potatoes go with cheese. When you have the right seasonings for a perfect sauce, you will make the best scalloped potatoes ever! Check it out.

You’ll Need:

4 cups of thinly sliced potatoes.
3 tbsps of butter.
3 tbsps of flour.
1 ½ cups of milk.
1 tsp of salt.
1 tsp of my house seasoning (garlic powder, onion powder and pepper on equal parts).
A pinch of cayenne pepper.
1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

How to:

In a pot over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 minute, constantly stirring.

Mix in the milk, salt, house seasoning and pepper.

Cook to thicken, remove from heat and mix in the cheese.

In a lightly greased 1 quart casserole dish, arrange half of the potatoes, pour half of the cheese mixture on top and repeat the layers.

Sprinkle some paprika over the top and bake in a preheated oven to 350° for 45 minutes.


Simple, easy and cheesy! I usually make this casserole for dinner, and sometimes I make it as a plus dish over lunch. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it.
